Ever wonder how an event comes to happen at Dakota City? Go behind the scenes and see what is involved to put on an old-fashioned day in 1900 for the public to enjoy. Dakota City Heritage Village is the local treasure in Farmington that shows how people lived in a small rural village in the year 1900. You can learn about artifact acquisition, cataloging, staging artifacts, costumes and more. Take a ride through the village on our tractor-driven trolley and enjoy a hand-dipped ice cream cone from our old-fashioned drugstore at the end of the tour. For ages 18 and over, this is a free event but preregistration by April 12 is required. Call our office at 651-460-8387 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions or to register.
