Our
facilities are perfect for couples seeking an intimate and quaint
atmosphere for their special day. Our basic wedding package
includes the use of the church and drugstore. The village
bandstand can also be rented.
The church seats about one-hundred people and the drug store, about
forty.
A larger wedding can be
accommodated
in various locations on our grounds, season permitting. The
use of the church for the rehearsal and wedding is $250 and the
bandstand is $200.
To
reserve your date please submit an application,
along with a $50
deposit. The remainder of the fee and a certificate of liability
insurance is due two weeks before the event. You will be notified if
your requested date is not available. Return signed

City Building Usage Policies
Church
policies:
Reed organ may be used, but only by a qualified organist. Dakota
City can
provide names of possible organists.
Candles may be used in front candelabrum only.
Church may be decorated at the time of the rehearsal. Wedding
party is responsible for the removal of
all decorations within 48 hours.
No food or drinks are allowed in the church.
Items in the church should not be moved by the bridal party or guests. Dakota City
staff will take care of the set-up for the wedding.
A Dakota City representative must be on site whenever the church is
open. Access
to the church will be provided by the representative.
Kerosene lamp chandelier may be used, but is to be lit by a Dakota City
representative only.
The use of alcohol is not permitted on Dakota City property.
Bandstand Policies:
Any benches
moved shall be replaced to
their original location.
Wedding
party is responsible for removal of all decorations within 48 hours.
Please
note:
The bandstand is not handicapped accessible.
The church has electric lights only over the
chancel area.
Bathroom facilities will be open, but are 2
blocks distance from the church.
